Söhnke Hinz

Söhnke Hinz (born February 27, 1969 in Hamburg ) is a German volleyball coach .

Career

Hinz began his career as a coach in 1984 at Eimsbütteler TV , where he initially looked after the youngsters. In 1997 he took over the club's second division team and was also the national coach in his hometown. In 2000 VfB Friedrichshafen signed him for the youth team. He set up a base at Lake Constance and organized the work with the young players like in a boarding school . In 2007, Hinz moved to the German Volleyball Association and trained the junior national team, which also plays in the first and second Bundesliga as VC Olympia Berlin . His greatest success so far was at the 2008 European Championship, when the German offspring were only defeated in the final. In 2011 new contract negotiations with the DVV failed, which is why Hinz accepted an offer from Bundesliga club evivo Düren and succeeded Sven Anton there. After a mixed season, Hinz was released in Düren in April 2012. From 2013 to 2015 Hinz coached third division TKC Wriezen .
