Jasmin Hagendorfer (also Hagendorfer in the artistic context ) is a contemporary artist, curator, author and festival organizer who lives in Vienna. She is one of the founders and creative director of the Porn Film Festival Vienna . Since 2019 she has been the artistic director of the Transition Queer & Minorities Film Festival . Artistic and political approaches overlap in her works.

Live and act

Hagendorfers main artistic focus is on installation, sculpture and performance. Her works have been exhibited in Austria, Germany, Turkey, Serbia and Greece. As an artist, she is interested in social and political discussions and questions about gender identity, with a focus on political work in the context of feminist pornography . Her studio is in Stockerau .

As an art curator she creates z. B. Events such as Art Unanchored , an art festival that took place on a ship that commuted between Vienna and Bratislava , as well as several art exhibitions.

Her work as the founder and organizer of the Porn Film Festival Vienna deals with the artistic and political orientation of the festival, the curation of the artistic highlights as well as the participation in the program and reach work. Hagendorfer and her team try, according to the Austrian mainstream press , to close the gap between feminist and genderqueer theory, art and pornography .

Hagendorfer gives lectures on feminism, pornography and contemporary art , e.g. B. at the Fem * Congress (“Bringing Feminist Struggles together”) at the University of Vienna . She is often invited to discussions as an expert on feminism and pornography, but also gives lectures on general socio-political topics.
