Ryan Jenkins

Ryan Alexander Jenkins (born February 8, 1977 in Victoria , British Columbia , † August 2009 in Hope , British Columbia) was a Canadian investment banker, contractor and reality soap star.

Life

Jenkins took part in various so-called "Celebrealitys", ie documentary soaps, which accompany celebrity searches for partners or extravagant game shows in real time with the camera, and took part in the reality soaps Megan Wants a Millionaire with Megan Hauserman and I Love Money 3 . The former was temporarily suspended due to the events surrounding the death of Jenkins' wife, model Jasmine Fiore , and officially withdrawn on August 22, 2009, the latter he won and the broadcast was canceled prematurely after his suicide .

Murder of Jasmine Fiore

Investigators reported that Jenkins with his estranged wife Jasmine Fiore in the night of August 13, 2009 in a hotel in San Diego ( California checked). The following morning, Jenkins left the hotel alone with a gray suitcase and reported his wife missing on August 15, 2009. Jasmine Fiore's body was found in a suitcase in Buena Park that same day , but it took the police days to identify the body as all fingers and teeth were removed. It was only days later that the body could be identified from its breast implants .

On August 19, 2009, US authorities announced that Jenkins' status had been increased from "Person of Interest" to "Potential Suspect" in the murder case. The Whatcom County Sheriff Department received testimony that Jenkins' black SUV was pulling a boat trailer towards the Canadian border. The vehicle and empty trailer were later found at a pier in Blain , Washington .

The US Coast Guard announced that they had found a speedboat believed to be owned by Jenkins. After the boat was in Canadian waters, Canadian authorities searched for the boat, but the suspected speedboat was back in US waters and docked at Point Roberts near the border.

On August 21, Jenkins and a woman arrived at a motel in Hope , British Columbia . Jenkins stayed in the car while the woman checked in and paid for two days in advance. After no one checked out on August 23, the motel manager and his nephew opened the room and found Jenkins dead in the motel room, hanged on a belt.
