Speedboat
Speedboat , often speedboat , has been in the German language as a term for a small and fast motorboat established. Occasionally this type of boat is confused with the racing boat from the motor boat sport.
The speedboat is suitable for many tasks due to its speed, agility and small size:
- As a dinghy for warships , e.g. B. for man overboard maneuvers and boarding missions
- As a resource, e.g. B. the police , coast guard , rescue services or special forces
- For piracy
- For smuggling
Rigid inflatable boats with a water jet drive or powerful outboard motors are mainly used as dinghies and resources .
