Jason Geria (born May 10, 1993 in Canberra ) is an Australian national soccer player . He has been under contract with Melbourne Victory since 2012 .

Career

society

Geria started at Weston Creek SC and Woden Weston FC as a youth and moved to the FFA Center of Excellence, a national youth football academy in Canberra , in 2009 . In 2011 Geria signed a contract with Brisbane Roar , but was only used in the U21 until 2012. In November 2012, he then moved to Melbourne Victory in the A-League . In 2015 he won the championship and cup double with Melbourne . In the 2016/17 season he was again in the final of the league with the club, but had to admit defeat to Sydney FC . In 2018 he moved to Japan . Here he signed a contract with JEF United Ichihara Chiba . The club from Ichihara played in the second division of the country, the J2 League .

National team

From 2011 to 2013 Geria was a member of the U20 national team and played 20 games in which he scored three goals. He was also part of the Australian squad for the 2013 U-20 World Cup in Turkey . On June 4, 2016, Geria made his debut in the senior national team . The team won the game against Greece 1-0.
