Jason Dior Maxiell (born February 18, 1983 in Chicago , Illinois ) is a retired American basketball player who was active in the NBA from 2005 to 2015 , most recently with the Charlotte Hornets .
The Power Forward , which was 2.01 meters tall for its position , was characterized above all by its enormous strength and athleticism.
Career
In the 2005 NBA draft , Maxiell was selected by the Detroit Pistons in 27th place and then played for eight years in Detroit. In his rookie season, Maxiell achieved 4.4 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in 10.1 minutes .
Before the 2013-14 season , he was hired as a free agent by the Orlando Magic , before he signed for the following season with the Charlotte Hornets . Then Maxiell played in China and Turkey.
In August 2017, Maxiell signed again in Detroit to end his career as a Piston.
