New name for the New Orleans "Hornets"

In April 2013, the management in New Orleans changed its name to “Pelicans” (German: Pelicans) because the fan base could not identify with the name “Hornets” (German: Hornets), which they had brought with them from Charlotte. According to the team leadership, a pelican's external appearance is better suited to a coastal region.
