This was followed by the NBA playoffs on April 17, 1986, which ended in early June with the NBA finals . The championship won the Boston Celtics with a 4-2 in the series against the Houston Rockets .

The 1985 NBA Draft took place in New York City on June 18, 1985 . In the first position was Patrick Ewing of the New York Knicks selected.

All-Star Game

The 1986 All-Star Game was played on February 9, 1986 at the Reunion Arena in Dallas . The East won with 139 to 132. For MVP was Isiah Thomas selected.
