This was followed by the NBA playoffs on April 20, 1982, which ended in early June with the NBA finals . The championship won the Los Angeles Lakers with a 4-2 in the series against the Philadelphia 76ers .

All-Star Game
The 1982 All-Star Game was played on January 31, 1982 at the Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford . The East won with 120 to 118. For MVP was Larry Bird selected.
