This was followed by the NBA playoffs on April 17, 1984, which ended in early June with the NBA Finals . The championship was won by the Boston Celtics with a 4: 3 in the series against the Los Angeles Lakers .

Draft

The 1983 NBA Draft took place in New York City on June 28, 1983 . In first position, Ralph Sampson was elected by the Houston Rockets .

All-Star Game

The 1984 All-Star Game was played on January 29, 1984 at the McNichols Sports Arena in Denver . The East won by 154 to 145 after extra time. For MVP was Isiah Thomas selected.
