The 1991–92 NBA season was the National Basketball Association's 46th season . The regular season began on November 1, 1991 and ended on April 19, 1992. This was followed by the NBA playoffs on April 23, 1992, which ended in mid-June with the NBA finals . As in the previous year, the championship was won by the Chicago Bulls with a 4-2 in the series against the Portland Trail Blazers .

All-Star Game

The 1992 All-Star Game took place in Orlando . The West's pick won the game 153-113. The game's MVP became Magic Johnson . Johnson had resigned prior to the season due to his HIV disease, but was still voted into the All-Star Team by fans.
