Thomas Terrell Brandon (born May 20, 1970 in Portland , Oregon ) is a retired American basketball player .

Brandon was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in 11th place in the 1991 NBA Draft . Here he spent his most successful years and was invited to the NBA All-Star Game in 1996 and 1997 . He was one of the best players in his position in the mid-90s and scored a good 19 points and 6.5 assists per game between 1995 and 1997. Nevertheless, he was transferred to the Milwaukee Bucks in 1997 along with teammate Tyrone Hill . In return, Shawn Kemp moved to Cleveland and Vin Baker to the Seattle SuperSonics . After 1½ years, Brandon was transferred to the Minnesota Timberwolves . At the side of Kevin Garnett he reached the playoffs with the Wolves between 1999 and 2001 regularly. After that, Brandon was plagued by injuries, so that the Wolves put him on the injured list in February 2002. In the summer of 2003, Brandon was transferred to the Atlanta Hawks , but did not play a game for them. In February 2004 he was fired from them after not playing an NBA game for two years. After his release, Brandon announced his resignation.

During his career, Brandon scored 13.8 points, 6.1 assists, and 1.6 steals per game.
