The 1986/87 NBA season was the National Basketball Association's 41st season . The regular season began on October 31, 1986 and ended on April 19, 1987. This was followed by the NBA playoffs on April 23, 1987, which ended in mid-June with the NBA finals . The championship won the Los Angeles Lakers with a 4-2 in the series against the Boston Celtics .

Draft

The 1986 NBA Draft took place on June 17, 1986 in New York City . Brad Daugherty of the Cleveland Cavaliers was elected in first position .

All-Star Game

The 1987 All-Star Game was played on February 8, 1987 in the Kingdome in Seattle . The West won 154 to 149 after extra time. For MVP was Tom Chambers elected.
