Jassa Ahluwalia (born September 12, 1990 in Coventry , West Midlands ) is a British film and television actor and presenter .

Life

Jassa Ahluwalia was the son of a from India born originating father and a British mother in Coventry, but grew up in Oadby in the county of Leicester approach. He and his sister Ramanique grew up bilingual. In addition to his native English, he also speaks fluent Punjabi , the language his father grew up with. Ahluwalia is a direct descendant of Jassa Singh Ahluwalia , a cleric of Sikhism in the 18th century.

Ahluwalia graduated from Beauchamp College in Oadby, which he graduated with Excellent Success. In 2009 he purchased with the The Prime Minister's Global Fellowship , a scholarship with which he spent six weeks in the People's Republic of China spent.

Ahluwalia was discovered at the age of 15 by a talent scout who helped him get his first film role at the age of 18 in 2008. He played the lead role in Journey to the Moon , a comedy film that was shot in his native Coventry. After that, he initially focused on his school education at University College London , where he learned Russian and Spanish .

But in 2010 he dropped out of university after just one year, and concentrated mainly on acting. In the same year he was hired as a presenter for the British edition of the children's program Art Attack . He hosted the show for only one season before being replaced by Lloyd Warbey .

Since then, Ahluwalia has appeared in several mini-series and television films. In 2013 he played the young King David in the miniseries The Bible . In the same year he was a guest star on the British crime series Ripper Street .

Jassa Ahluwalia has also been producing short films since 2013.
