Jauheni Sobal ( Belarusian Яўгеній Собаль ; * April 7, 1981 ) is a Belarusian cyclist .

Athletic career

Jauheni Sobal became the Belarusian road racing champion in 2001 . In 2003 he repeated this success and also won the time trial . At the U23 European Track Cycling Championships in Moscow in 2003, Sobal won the bronze medal in the team pursuit . In that he won two stages of the International Presidency Turkey Tour . In 2006 he won a stage in the Giro della Valle d'Aosta and in 2009 a stage in the Tour of Serbia . In mid-2010 he ended his international career after completing the Course de la Solidarité Olympique .

In May 2016, Sobal returned to cycling after receiving a contract with the Minsk Cycling Club . He won the Course de la Solidarité Olympique and was third in the Belarusian time trial championship. In 2019 he won the Five Rings of Moscow and became a two-time national champion, in road racing and in the individual time trial.
