Aljaksandr Ussau ( Belarusian Аляксандр Усаў ; in results lists often after the French transcription Alexandre Usov ; born August 27, 1977 in Minsk ) is a former Belarusian cyclist .

Aljaksandr Ussau began his professional career in 2000 with the Swiss cycling team Phonak , after having been a stagiaire for the Post Swiss team the previous year . He secured his first stage win at the Tour de l'Avenir . There he was able to win a stage in the following year. He also won the Lower Saxony tour twice. In 2002 he was the road champion in his country, again decided a stage of the Tour de l'Avenir for himself and one of the Tour du Poitou-Charentes . In the 2003 season he won a stage in the Clásica Alcobendas . In his last year at Phonak he was able to do part of theWin a tour of Valencia . In 2005 he celebrated stage wins at the Vuelta a Castilla y León and the Hessen Tour . He was also in the ProTour - day race Grand Prix Ouest France second behind George Hincapie .
