Javad Akbari ( listen ? / I ; * June 13, 1989 ) is an Iranian grass skier . He has been taking part in World Cup races in his home country since 2007 . Audio file / audio sample

Career

Javad Akbari has so far only participated in World Cup races and FIS races in Dizin , Iran . In his World Cup debut in July 2007, he achieved 17th place in the giant slalom and 18th place in the Super-G, ending the 2007 overall World Cup in 63rd position. In 2008 , the Iranian remained without World Cup points because he was disqualified in both giant slalom and super-G. In the 2009 season he was able to score twice with 18th place in the giant slalom and 23rd place in the Super-G and thus achieved 43rd place in the overall World Cup. In 2009 he achieved his first top 10 placement in FIS races. Javad Akbari also achieved 43rd overall in the 2010 season . Although this time he only finished 18th in the Super-G and was disqualified in the giant slalom, due to his bonus points from the FIS races he kept his place in the overall World Cup.

After Akbari had not participated in any competitions in 2011, he started again in the FIS and World Cup races in Dizin in the 2012 season . He achieved his best results so far in both the FIS and World Cup races. In the FIS races he came in sixth and eighth place twice, in the World Cup races he reached eleventh place in the giant slalom and twelfth place in the first of the two Super-G (in the second he was disqualified). In the overall World Cup, he again finished 43rd.

From 2007 to 2011 Javad Akbari also took part in FIS races and the Iranian championships in alpine skiing . His best result was an eleventh place in the Schemschak FIS slalom in January 2008.
