Javier López Fernández
Javier López Fernández , also Javi López , (born November 11, 1985 in Madrid ) is a Spanish politician of the Partit dels Socialistes de Catalunya . He has been a member of the European Parliament since 2014 .
Life
Javier López Fernández studied law at the Pompeu Fabra University from 2003 to 2008 . In 2009 he obtained a Masters in Political and Social Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona . López was First Secretary of the Socialist Youth of Catalonia from 2009 to 2014. From 2011 to 2014 he was also a member of the city council of the Les Corts district in Barcelona and was involved with the Young European Socialists .
López was elected to the European Parliament in 2014. There he is a member of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs and of the delegation to the Euro-Latin American Parliamentary Assembly.
