Javier Benítez (cyclist)
Javier Benítez Pomares (born January 3, 1979 in Canals near Xàtiva / Valencia) is a former Spanish cyclist .
Javier Benítez began his career in 2005 with the Spanish professional Continental Team Relax Fuenlabrada . In 2006 he moved to the Continental Team Grupo Nicolás Mateos , where he achieved his first successes. In the 2007 and 2008 seasons, Benítez was a member of the Benfica Lisbon team alongside José Azevedo . In 2012 he ended his cycling career.
