Javier Moro

Javier Rafael Moro Lapierre (born February 11, 1955 in Madrid , Spain ) is a Spanish author.

Life

Moro's father is Spanish, his mother French . In his youth he traveled with his family and his father, who was an aviation worker, through many countries in Asia, Africa and the American continent. The experiences made on these trips are often reflected later in his books. He graduated from the French high school in Madrid. He then studied history and anthropology at Jussieu University, which is now Paris VII University .

After graduating, Moro worked with various Spanish and foreign media. He also helped Dominique Lapierre , whose nephew he is, in basic research for his books, as well as for books by Larry Collins . He was also the co-producer of two films based on works by Ramón J. Sender , Valentina and 1919: Crónica del alba .

For his first book: Senderos de libertad , the story of the rubber worker Chico Mendes in the Brazilian Amazon , he traveled through South America for three years . For his last book El imperio eres tú (You are the empire) about the first emperor of Brazil Pedro I. he received the Premio Planeta of 2011.
