Jay Ferguson
Jay Ferguson (* 10. May 1947 in Burbank , California as John Arden Ferguson ) is an American musician and composer .
Life
He is one of the founding members of the rock band Spirit , where he was singer and guitarist and stayed from the mid-1960s to 1971. Around that year he founded his own band, Jo Jo Gunne, with Mark Andes . He began a solo career around the mid-1970s. His debut album was released in 1976 on Asylum Records. Since the mid-1980s he has worked as a film composer for cinema and television and has been involved in more than 40 productions.
In 2013 he was recognized for his music on the series Navy CIS: LA at the ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards .
