Jaynagar Majilpur ( Bengali : জয়নগর মজিলপুর ) is a city in the Indian state of West Bengal with 25,922 inhabitants (2011 census). It is located around 49 kilometers southeast of Kolkata (Calcutta) in the Dakshin 24 Pargana district . Jaynagar Majilpur is part of the Kolkata Metropolitan Area .
