Jayson Leutwiler (born April 25, 1989 in Neuchâtel ) is a football player of Swiss and Canadian origin.

Career

society

Leutwiler started his career in the youth department of FC Cornaux and later went to Neuchâtel Xamax . The goalkeeper played from 2005 to 2011 (with interruption) in the U-21 team of FC Basel . He has not yet played in the professional team of FC Basel.

From July to December 2007 he was awarded to FC Concordia Basel in the Challenge League . There he was not used in any game and returned to Basel. In July 2009 he switched to Yverdon-Sport FC as a loan player until the end of the season , where he received his first appearances as a professional and achieved league maintenance with Yverdon. After a failed detour to FC Wohlen in the 2010/11 season, he joined FC Schaffhausen from the FC Basel U-21 team and was available to FCS on loan until the end of the 2011/12 season.

On August 14, 2012 it was announced that Jayson Leutwiler was moving to Middlesbrough in the Football League Championship , the second highest league in England. Leutwiler made his team debut in the 3-1 away win against Preston North End in the third round game of the League Cup on September 25, 2012.

National team

Between 2008 and 2010 he had four nominations and three appearances in the Swiss U-20 national team, and during 2009 he had three nominations for the Swiss U-21 national team , but remained without a mission.
