Jazz Focus Records was a Canadian jazz label from the 1990s and 2000s.

The independent label Jazz Focus , which had its headquarters in Calgary, was founded by the English-born psychiatrist, author and jazz fan Philip Barker (1929-2015). Barker's record label emerged from his radio show of the same name, which he directed for many years for the University of Calgary 's campus station CJSW-FM . From the early 1990s onwards, a total of 37 modern jazz productions appeared on the label ; first release was the solo album Arrival by pianist Jessica Williams . This was followed by recordings and recordings until the mid-2000s. a. by Jack Brownlow , Brian Buchanan , Keith Copeland , Herb Ellis , Hugh Fraser , Misako Kano , Marilyn Lerner , Dado Moroni , John Nugent , Michael Rabinowitz , George Robert , Kendra Shank , Kent Sangster , Jay Thomas , Don Thompson , Leroy Vinnegar , Patty Waters and Lily White .
