Jean-Claude Schindelholz (born October 11, 1940 in Moutier ) is a former Swiss football player .

Club career

He began his career in 1958 in his hometown at FC Moutier , with whom he was promoted to National League B in 1962 . The following year he moved to Servette FC . With the club from Geneva , he was in the finals of the Swiss Football Cup in 1965 and 1966 . In 1971 he left Servette and played for Vevey Sports for the next two years , where he ended his career in 1973.

National player

On April 15, 1964, Schindelholz made his debut for the Swiss national football team in Geneva in a 2-0 win over Belgium . Against the same opponent, he played his last of 13 international matches for the Swiss on October 22, 1966.

Schindelholz was in Switzerland's squad for the 1966 World Cup in England . He was used in the group game in the 5-0 defeat against the German national team.
