Jean-Claude Zwahlen

Jean-Claude Zwahlen ( April 30, 1943 - March 7, 2006 ) was a Swiss politician .

Life

Jean-Claude Zwahlen was councilor of Bévilard and sat from 1984 to 1989 for the Parti Libéral Jurassien in the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern . From November 25, 1991 until his resignation on June 9, 1995, he represented the separatist list of the Alliance jurassienne and the CVP Südjura in the National Council . After his election he joined the faction of the list leader CVP .

He caused a sensation when, during a debate, he sang the Jura anthem « La Nouvelle Rauracienne » at the top of his throat .
