Jean-François Dubos

Jean-François Dubos (born September 2, 1945 in Cabourg , Calvados Department ) is a French manager and private lecturer . On June 28, 2012, he succeeded Jean-Bernard Lévy as CEO of Vivendi .

Life

Jean-François Dubos holds degrees in English and Spanish and degrees in international law and political science from the University of Paris. He also participated in two training programs at the Hague Academy of International Law . In 1972 he joined the Parti socialiste (PS).

From 1981 to 1984 he was department head in the Ministry of Defense of Charles Hernu . In addition, Dubos was also a lecturer at the École nationale d'administration , as well as at the Université Paris 1 (Panthéon-Sorbonne), the University of Paris-Nanterre , the University of Paris Descartes and at the Institut d'études politiques d'Aix-en-Provence . Dubos worked on the board of directors of two water supply companies ( Société des Eaux de Melun and Compagnie méditerranéenne d'exploitation des services d'eau ) and on the supervisory boards of Canal + and Groupe Canal +. In 1991 he joined the Compagnie Générale des Eaux and since 1994 he has been Secretary General of Vivendi.
