Jean-Henry Céant (born September 27, 1956 in Port-au-Prince , Haiti ) is a Haitian politician who was Prime Minister of Haiti from August 7, 2018 to March 18, 2019.

Jean-Henry Céant studied law at the State University of Haiti ( Université d'État d'Haïti ) in Port-au-Prince and then completed the course to train as a notary at the Pontifical University of Comillas in Madrid .

As a co-founder of the small party Renmen Ayiti ( Haitian : For love of Haiti ), Céant entered politics. In the first round of the 2010/2011 presidential election on November 28, 2010, he received 3.07% of the votes cast and was eliminated. In the next presidential election on November 20, 2016, he ran again, but only achieved 0.75% of the vote.

Céant was appointed Prime Minister of Haiti by President Jovenel Moïse in August 2018. He was elected to succeed Jack Guy Lafontant , who had resigned due to an economic crisis.
