Claudette Werleigh

Claudette Antoine Werleigh (born September 26, 1946 ) was the first female Prime Minister of Haiti from November 7, 1995 to February 7, 1996 .

Life

Werleigh studied law and economics in the USA , Switzerland and Haiti. From 1976 to 1987 she was Secretary General of the Haitian Caritas . In September 1993 she became foreign minister-designate of the Haiti government-in-exile. From 1995 to 1996 she was the country's prime minister for three months.

Werleigh has been General Secretary of Pax Christi International since 2007 .
