Enex Jean-Charles

Enex Jean-Charles (born July 18, 1960 in Chansolme , Nord-Ouest , Haiti ) is a Haitian politician and was Prime Minister from March 2016 to March 2017 .

Life

Jean-Charles received his academic training from the University of Missouri at Columbia and the Université libre de Bruxelles . Jean-Charles has been teaching administrative law at the University of Haiti in Port-au-Prince since 1991 .

From March 2004 to June 2006 he held the office of Secretary General of the Council of Ministers under President Boniface Alexandre . In March 2016 he was nominated by Fritz Jean as his Ministre de la Planification et de la Coopération external , but was appointed interim prime minister by President Jocelerme Privert after Jean's parliamentary plans were rejected by the House of Representatives in Haiti on March 20, 2016 . It was confirmed unanimously on March 24, 2016 by the 20 senators in the Haitian Senate and with 78 votes, one against and two abstentions by the Chamber of Deputies.

Jean-Charles is the 20th Prime Minister of Haiti. On March 28, 2016, the 18 ministers in his cabinet were sworn in.

Enex Jean-Charles is married and has three children.
