Jean-Marc Sauvant
Jean-Marc Sauvant (born June 15, 1927 in La Chaux-de-Fonds , † January 28, 2012 in Vallamand , resident in Bévilard ) was a Swiss chief civil servant .
Sauvant attended high school in La Chaux-de-Fonds and then studied law at the University of Geneva . In 1953 he was the town clerk of La Chaux-de-Fonds and from 1957 worked as a lawyer in the Federal Chancellery . In 1968 Sauvant was elected Vice Chancellor and was also the last Vice Chancellor who was also secretary of the Council of States . He served as Secretary General of the Federal Assembly from 1981 to 1992 and was thus head of the parliamentary services , which were expanded and restructured under him.
