Jean-Paul Vondenburg

Jean-Paul Vondenburg (born July 31, 1964 ) is a former Swedish football player .

career

Vondenburg made his debut in 1985 for Hammarby IF in the Allsvenskan . When the club was relegated from the first division in 1988 , he moved to the reigning champions Malmö FF . In 1989 he won his only championship title with the club.

Vondenburg left Sweden in the summer of 1992 and moved to the Danish first division club Aarhus GF . After only one season he ended his engagement there and moved to Japan to Sanfrecce Hiroshima . He only stayed there for one season. In 1995 he returned to Hammarby IF. With the club he rose again from the Allsvenskan. After a year in the second division, he ended his active career in 1996.

Vondenburg made his debut on February 14, 1990 for the Swedish national team . This made him Sweden's first selection player with dark skin. However, his debut against the national soccer team of the United Arab Emirates was lost 2-1. In total, he ran four times for the selection of the Swedish Football Association. He remained without a goal, in the 2-2 draw against Greece on April 17, 1991, he scored an own goal.
