Gabriele Keizer

Gabriele Keizer (actually: Gabriele Korn-Steinmetz ; born February 4, 1953 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German crime writer . Under her real name she also works as an editor and cultural journalist .

Gabriele Keizer grew up in the Palatinate . After completing secondary school, she trained as a pharmacy assistant. At the age of 19 she moved to Marburg an der Lahn , graduated from the evening grammar school and studied English and German literature in Heidelberg and Marburg .

After long stays in Seattle , Lille and Vienna , she now lives in Andernach am Rhein .

Gabriele Keizer has been writing since she was a child. In 1998 her first crime novel, Mördergrube , was published by Reclam Leipzig . Together with the author Wolfgang Polifka , she published two novels under the pseudonym Lea Wolf , Kalt ist der Schlaf (2003) and Im Rote Schein der Nacht (2005), for Heyne . 2006 which in turn jointly authored with Polifka appeared Thriller dolls hunters and as a separate publication of Koblenz -Krimi Apollo butterfly , both at Gmeiner .

In addition, she published various short thrillers in anthologies , some of which are summarized in her volume Lust am Morden , published in 2003 by contrast publishing house .

In the fall of 2007, the anthology she published was published deadly calculated. Murder (s) stories from Rhineland-Palatinate in the Rhein-Mosel-Verlag. The series about the Koblenz police inspector Franca Mazzari now includes four volumes expanded.

Volunteering

Gabriele Keizer is a member of the Association of German-Language Crime Authors Das Syndikat , the Sisters in Crime and the Association of German Writers in ver.di , Rhineland-Palatinate district , of which she was Chair from 2006 to 2014.

In 2005 she was co-organizer of the Rhineland-Palatinate Literature Days in Andernach, in 2006 the crime festival Criminale in Koblenz, and in 2007 the Rhineland-Palatinate Literature Days in Montabaur from September 7th to 9th .

Since January 1st 2010 she has been a member of the radio council of Deutschlandradios .
