Jean-Philippe Delhomme

Jean-Philippe Delhomme (* 1959 in a suburb of Paris , France ) is a French illustrator and author .

Life

Delhommes father was a surgeon , his grandfather the creative director of the cosmetics company Lancôme . He completed his training in Paris at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in 1985 and two years later began working with his illustrations such as Polaroids de jeunes filles in fashion magazines such as Glamor . Internationally he became known through an advertising campaign for the luxury department store Barneys in New York City . Further illustrations followed in magazines such as The New Yorker , Vogue both in France and Japan and in the Japanese Casa Brutus , in Stern and in Spiegel .

As an illustrator for fashion and contemporary culture, he has written and illustrated a number of books. Furthermore, three novels and articles in French Vogue and in GQ: Architectural Digest have been published so far .
