Jean Chastanié
Jean Chastanié , in some reports Jacques Chastanié , (born July 24, 1875 in Lorient , † April 14, 1948 in Paris ) was a French athlete .
At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1900 he took part in both obstacle courses: he came third over 2500 m and fourth over 4000 m.
In the team race over 5000 m , in which five runners from his Racing Club de France team competed against as many from a British-Australian team, he finished fifth in the individual standings. In the overall standings, the British prevailed and relegated the French to second place.
Chastanié won the French 400-meter championship title in 1901 and the 800-meter title in 1903.
