Jean Edmond Lafargue

Jean Edmond Lafargue (born March 7, 1823 in Hamburg ; † June 9, 1871 there ) was a German businessman .

Life

Lafargue founded the trading company Lafargue Hälssen & Co. together with Daniel Hälssen in Hamburg in 1858. The company was liquidated in 1867 and Lafargue set up its own trading company under the name E. Lafargue.

He was a tax appraiser from 1864 to 1871. Lafargue belonged to the Hamburg Constituent Assembly and was a member of the Hamburg Parliament from 1859 to 1865 . There he was secretary in 1864 and 1865.
