Jean Holmes

Jean Holmes (married Mitchell; born November 7, 1940 in Panama City ) is a former Panamanian sprinter .

In 1959 she won the Central America and Caribbean Games over 100 m . At the Pan American Games in Chicago she was seventh over 100 m and won silver in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

In 1960 she reached the quarter-finals at the Olympic Games in Rome over 100 m and was eliminated with the Panamanian 4 x 100 meter relay in the preliminary run. At the Ibero-American Games she won over 200 m .

In 1961 she managed a double victory over 100 m and 200 m at the Juegos Bolivarianos .

In 1963 she was fourth over 100 m at the Pan American Games in São Paulo . At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, she failed with the Panamanian 4 x 100 meter relay in the first round.
