Jean Laurent (born December 30, 1906 in Maisons-Alfort , Département Val-de-Marne , † May 14, 1995 ) was a French football player .

Career

society

Laurent began his career in 1921 at CA Paris , with whom he reached the French Cup final against local rivals Red Star Olympique in 1928 . In 1930 he left the capital and in the following years played for FC Sochaux , Racing Club de France , Stade Rennes and FC Toulouse , among others . In 1939 he ended his active career at HSC Montpellier .

National team

On the occasion of the Football World Cup in Uruguay in 1930 , Laurent was appointed to the French squad together with his younger brother Lucien , who scored the first goal in the history of the Football World Cup . Unlike his brother, however, he was not used during the tournament.

Between 1930 and 1932 Laurent played nine international matches for the " Bleus ", in which he did not score.
