Jean Mantelet

Life
Mantelet invented a kitchen appliance in 1931, the "Le Moulin-Légumes" , to mash potatoes . This simple invention, the Presse-Purée (also popular as Flotte Lotte in Germany, called Passevite in Switzerland ), sold millions of times in the 1930s alone , which is how he founded his own company. Over the decades he managed this company until he gave up the management due to a serious illness. Mantelet was married.
He opened his first factory in Alençon , where he was also President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 1967 to 1974.
