Jean Nouguès
Jean-Charles Nouguès (born April 25, 1875 in Bordeaux , Aquitaine , † August 28, 1932 in Paris , Ile de France) was a French composer.
Live and act
After training as a schoolboy (in Gironde ), he made his debut at the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux at the age of 21 with his first opera Le Roi Papegai .
He then took up studies in Paris with Jules Massenet. His opera Thamyris was staged in 1904. In the following year he created the music for Tintangiles Death by Maeterlinck (Paris 1905) and for Quo vadis? by Henryk Sienkiewicz (Paris 1909, also played at the opening of the Budapest Volksoper and at the Teatro Liceu in Barcelona on November 27, 1920).
