Jean Tarcisius Batamboc (born October 1, 1987 ) is a Cameroonian sprinter who specializes in the 100-meter run .

Athletic career

Jean Tarcisius Batamboc gained his first international experience at the Africa Games 2011 in Maputo , where he was eliminated with 11.0 s in the first round over 100 meters. Also at the African Championships in Porto-Novo the following year he was eliminated with 11.16 s in the lead, but finished fifth in the Zimbabwean 4 x 100 meter relay in 40.16 s. It was similar for him at the 2014 African Athletics Championships in Marrakech , where he was eliminated in the preliminary round over 100 meters with 10.84 seconds and finished sixth in the relay in 40.42 seconds. In 2015 he took part again in the Africa Games in Brazzaville , but was eliminated there with 10.96 seconds. In 2017 he was allowed to take part in the World Championships in London thanks to a wildcard and survived the pre-qualifying round there and then retired with 10.75 seconds in the preliminary run . In 2019 he reached the semi-finals at the Africa Games in Rabat over 100 meters, in which he was eliminated with 10.74 s, while he came seventh with the relay in 40.12 s.
