Joseph Mewis
Joseph Mewis (born March 23, 1931 in Antwerp ) is a former Belgian wrestler .
Joseph Mewis competed in the 1956 Summer Olympics in Melbourne, 1960 in Rome and 1964 in Tokyo. These were his only international appearances.
His second place at the 1956 Games was a big surprise, but in the final he had to admit defeat to the Japanese wrestler and world champion of 1954, Shōzō Sasahara.
Joseph Mewis is the younger brother of Maurice Mewis .
