Jeff Moss (born January 1, 1975 in California ) is an American hacker , computer and Internet security expert who founded the Black Hat Briefings and DEFCON computer hacker conferences .

Jeff Moss received his first computer at the age of 10. He studied criminal law at Gonzaga University . Later he worked for the company Ernst & Young in the area of ​​computer security and held a management position at Secure Computing , where he was responsible for the USA, Asia and Australia.
