Jeff White

Jeff White is a VFX supervisor who was nominated for an Oscar in 2013 for Marvel's The Avengers for Best Visual Effects .

Life

He grew up in Upstate New York and went to Ithaca College in New York . He then did his Master of Fine Arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design . After graduating, he worked as a technical director at Laika Studios in Portland . In 2002 he moved to Industrial Light & Magic as technical director in the creatures division . In that capacity, he has been involved in such films as Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Caribbean 2 and Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith . He then worked as a VFX supervisor on films such as Transformers and Marvel's The Avengers . For the latter he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects along with Janek Sirrs , Guy Williams and Daniel Sudick .
