Jefferson Lee

Jefferson Lee is an Australian university professor.

Career

Lee attended Heidelberg High in Melbourne from 1965 to 1967 and Dulwich Hill High in Sydney in 1968 . In 1987 he received a Master of Arts (honors) from the University of New South Wales (UNSW).

From January 1987 to December 2002 Lee taught at Deakin University and was also at the University of Western Sydney from February 200 to December 2001 , where he taught journalism, media and film studies. Since January 2003, the long-time East Timor activist has been the representative for special projects at the Australia East Timor Association (AETA) in New South Wales .

Awards

In 2015, Lee received the Medal des Ordem de Timor-Leste from East Timor's President Taur Matan Ruak .
