Ekaterina Alexandrovna Derewschikowa

Ekaterina Alexandrovna Derewschtschikowa ( Russian Екатерина Александровна Деревщикова * 18th May 1926 in Moscow , RSFSR , USSR ; † 19th October 2006 ibid) was a Soviet and Russian film - and theater - Actress .

Life and accomplishments

Derewschtschikowa came from a middle-class family, her father was a department head in the Genshtaba library . He was arrested in 1934 and died of typhus shortly afterwards.

Her film career began in 1939 with the children's film Личное дело ( Litschnoje delo ), the following year she appeared in Alexander Rasumny's Timur and his troop based on the novel by Arkadi Gaidar . In the sequel Клятва Тимура ( Klyatva Timura , 1942) Derewschtschikowa gave her first leading role. She was quickly influenced by her success and already wore make-up in school, which brought her into conflict with the management.

In 1944 she attended acting courses under the direction of Sergei Gerasimow .

After a small role in Soja (1944), which was not mentioned in the credits , Derewschtschikowa starred alongside Vladimir Druzhnikov in the award-winning fairy tale film The Stone Flower in 1946, which aroused the interest of many filmmakers in her. In the same year she played her last leading role in front of the camera in the football comedy Центр нападения ( Zentr napadenija ). Derewshchikova married the director of the film, Igor Fedorovich Semgano, moved with him to his hometown of Kiev and concentrated on working at the theater. For 10000 мальчиков ( 10000 maltschikow , 1961) she returned to the camera again, but decided to end her film career afterwards. In Короткие истории ( Korotkije istorii , 1963) she was seen again as part of a cameo .

In the 1960s, Ekaterina Derewschtschikowa played at the Pushkin Theater in Moscow. However, she found it increasingly difficult to earn a living and so she often appeared for a few rubles at every opportunity that presented itself, including in libraries, clinics and boarding schools. Semgano died in 1967. Sergei Obraszow proved to be a helper in this situation and hired Derewschtschikowa for his puppet theater. She also spoke in 1970 on the side of Alexei Nikolayevich Gribov in the cartoon Быль-небылица ( Byl-nebyliza ) the role of a pioneer .

Some of your stage performances were recorded so that Derewschtschikowa could be seen again on the screen. B. with the puppet show Необыкновенный концерт ( Neobyknowenny concert , 1972) or in 1988 in Дон Жуан ( Don Schuan ), an interpretation of the Don Juan material .

In 1999, Derewschikowa received the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation . She died at the age of 80 and was buried in the Donskoy cemetery .

Private

Derewschtschikowa was last married to the Polish-born Petr Szczesniewski (1944–2001), from her first marriage she had a son named Fedor (1950–1985).
