Ekaterina Dmitrievna Ryabova
Jekaterina "Katja" Dmitrijewna Rjabowa ( Russian Екатерина "Катя" Дмитриевна Рябова ; born August 4, 1997 in Shcholkowo , Russia ) is a Russian singer.
Life
She started singing as a small child and later began attending a music school.
In 2009 she won the Russian preliminary decision for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with her song "Malenki prinz" ( Маленький принц ), German: "The Little Prince" and won the contest on November 21, 2009 in Kiev , Ukraine for her country second place with 116 points, level with Luara Hajrapetjan from Armenia .
In 2011 she was selected again to represent Russia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011 , becoming the first participant in the history of the competition to take part more than once. With her song “Romeo and Juliet” (German: Romeo and Juliet), which she performed under the name “Kak Romeo i Dschuljetta” ( Как Ромео и Джулетта ; Like Romeo and Juliet), she performed on December 3, 2011 fourth place at the contest in Yerevan , Armenia with 99 points, again tied with Lidija Sablozkaja from Belarus , who, however, took third place due to the rules for equal points.
Katja Rjabowa is a winner of the “Governor's Award” and has received a diploma from the second “World Delphic Games for Musicians and Artists”. In addition, she is a winner of the competitions “A Rose Of Wings 2007” and “What Motherland is to begin with”. In the latter, she took part with her song "Arlekino" ( Арлекино ), German: "Harlequin".
She now lives in Jubileiny .
