Jekusiel Jehuda Teitelbaum ( Jekutiel Jehuda Teitelboim ; born 1808 , died 1883 in Sziget , Austria-Hungary ) was the Hasidic chief rabbi of Stropkov (1833-1841) and Sziget (1858-1883).

Life

Jekusiel was born the son of a rabbi and grandson of Moshe Teitelbaum . In 1833 he became rabbi in Stropkov, in 1841 in Újhely , and in 1856 in Drubitsch . In 1858 he was appointed Chief Rabbi of Sziget. He died in 1883. He was succeeded by his son Chananja .

Jekusiel Teitelbaum wrote several Hasidic commentaries on the Torah .
