The Jenkins Track is an outback slope in the center of the Australian state of Western Australia , in the Pilbara region . It connects the Canning Stock Route and Wapet Road in Kunawarritji with Gary Junction Road and the Gary Highway in Gary Junction .
The slope connects the two small settlements at the transition between the Gibson Desert and the Great Sand Desert . The entire area was awarded to the Aborigines of the Martu in the size of 136,000 km² by the High Court of Australia as a native title in 2002. The only refueling point is in Kunawarritji.
