Jennie McAlpine

Jennie McAlpine (born February 12, 1984 in Bury , England ) is a British comedian and actress best known for her role as Fiz Brown on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street .

Life

Her parents divorced when she was a child. Her father was a mental health activist and was awarded the OBE for his services . At the age of 13, McAlpine reached the final of the Young Comedian of the Year competition and made her television debut in Emmerdale in 1999 . In early 2001, she was signed to play the role of Fiz Brown on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street .

In 2017 she married her long-term partner Chris Farr. The couple have two children. McAlpine gave birth to their first child at the age of 30. Their son Albert Farr was born on November 29, 2014. Four years later, on October 29, 2018, she gave birth to daughter Hilda Farr.

In 2012 she and her husband opened a restaurant called "Annies".

In 2017 ITV announced that McAlpine would be one of the contestants in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here . She came fourth.
